BRIEF HISTORY OF MUTHURE CALVARY TEMPLE

The ministry under the leadership of then, pastor John Kahihu began in year 2000, in a makeshift structure that accommodated 10-15 members at the time The church under the leadership of the Pastor began a rigorous evangelism strategy of Crusades, door to door/person to person evangelism and follow-ups. The congregation grew in number from 15 to 100 people.
Due to the increased number of congregants, the need to expand arose and the church expanded the Mabati structure in the year 2003. and the church continued to grow in Grace and in numbers. The church expanded the structure again for a second time in year2006 since the congregation had outgrown the previous one
In the year 2013 Pastor John Kahihu who was now ordained to be a reverend, architected the strategy of building a Cathedral. The foundations of the cathedral were dug in year 2015 and the construction of the cathedral kickstarted. By the grace of God the first part of the cathedral was complete and the first service in the new Auditorium happened in year 2015
Through the able leadership of our Bishop John Kahihu and by the grace of God, the church has continued to grow in leaps and bounds and currently enjoying a membership of 600 members.
